Endeavour 2009 Initiatives

The main goals of Endeavour 2009 are:

  • To showcase our students' achievements and competence in engineering
  • To bridge the gap between industry and university students, providing opportunities for industry interaction and recruitment
  • To promote careers in engineering to tertiary and secondary students through industry interaction and the demonstration of cutting edge engineering
  • To encourage secondary students to undertake studies in engineering and related disciplines by providing them with information and inspiration
  • To promote women in engineering

Endeavour Projects

A year-long technical project is taken up by all final-year electrical students at the University of Melbourne. These will be showcased at the Endeavour Exhibition and Awards Ceremony.

Endeavour Industry Night & Excellence Awards

Industry representatives are invited to attend the Department of Electrical Engineering's night of nights, with a unique opportunity to interact with students and learn more about their projects. An awards ceremony will also be held during the evening to recognise the most successful projects.

Promoting engineering to students

The Endeavour schools programme gives school students an insight into the exciting and cutting edge field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Last year, we travelled to 6 Victorian schools to make an interactive presentation about electrical engineering.
